Workshops and Presentations
Tell us what you want to learn,
what goals you have for your professional development,
what outcomes you want,
and
we'll design a workshop or a presentation to meet those goals.
Our workshops are
interactive, because we believe soft skills can only be developed and enhanced in relationship with others,
for small groups, so that everyone's concerns and needs get addressed,
practical, focussed on real life situations and experiences you are having in your work and professional lives now.
We are highly experienced in helping leaders and aspiring leaders develop their soft skills – the interpersonal , communication and people skills – needed to draw forth the potential and talent of their people and enhance and develop their professional selves.
Our presentations are
one to one and a half hours in duration,
engaging,
inspirational,
practical,
designed to introduce a topic or issue.
We organise our own workshops and presentations which are advertised on our website in in our email newsletters.
We also run workshops and presentations in house for organisations or professional associations.
Maree Harris is always willing to discuss your professional development needs with you at no obligation to you. Email her now or telephone her on 03 5333 2900

The Hard Stuff About Soft Skills
- And Why We Need To Take Them Seriously
As professionals, our training, technical knowledge and skills are highly valued by our clients. Over recent years however, the skills that enable us to motivate, empower, engage and build great teams, what have often been called "soft skills", have become more and more valuable.

Managing Performance - The Importance of Feedback
Every CEO,manager, team leader, co-ordinator or supervisor wants a team of enthusiastic, energised, loyal and committed people working with them. They want passionate people who not only make the workplace a great place to be but who also co-operatively produce the results and outcomes that the company and organisation desires. When leaders and managers engage their people to work with them, not just for them, this is what they get. One of the most important ways to engage our people is by giving regular feedback.

Work/Life Balance in the 24/7 Workplace of Laptops, Blackberries and Mobile Phones.
We are all familiar with the old adage: "No one on their deathbed wishes he'd spent more time at the office." Yet in these fast-moving times of change and complexity that's exactly what we do - spend more time at the office, in fact, we take the office everywhere with us, every day and minute of the year! Our workday knows no boundary. The repercussions for our lives are damaged and broken relationships with our partners, children, family and friends, as well as stress and severe risks to our health and well-being. What can we do? How do we get some balance? Is it mission impossible or an ideal worth fighting for?

Stressing Down, Not Stressing Out
Stress is a word we toss around rather randomly. We can identify it in others if they are acting like a pressure cooker about to explode. We aren't so good at identifying it in those who are dangerously close to ending their own lives. We are not good either at realising when we ourselves are stressed and need to stop and relax. Getting the balance right between a healthly level of adrenalin that empowers us and stress that drains our effectiveness is the great challenge.

Resilience Does Not Begin With Strategies.
It Begins With You
Resilience is one of the most important qualities for leaders and managers to possess today - that ability to bounce back from any adversity in these turbulent and changing times. Yet it is not simply about developing coping techniques and strategies to help do that. It is much more complex. Resilience calls for a psychological strength in people that comes from within. It's that inner stregth that leaders and managers draw on to respond. That's why resilience begins with "You". and with the work that leaders and mangers are prepared to do on themselves to become resilient. This workshop explores seven essential qualities people need to develop to become resilient.
